IT'S COOKIE SEASON!
Yeah, man, the Girl Scouts have taken their orders, and now the boxes should be coming in, which means I SHOULD BE IN COOKIE HEAVEN SOON!
I love me some Girl Scout Cookies! Our neighbor's daughter was selling them a few weeks ago, so I ordered a bunch. Or at least, I thought I ordered a bunch. Thinking of it now, 10 boxes really isn't that much. I mean, these things only come around once a year. So how long will 10 boxes last here in the Wilcox household?? Pre-pregnancy.... probably a couple of weeks. Preggers, though.... well, we'll just say I'm sending Jeremy out now to go hunt down some sellers so we can pick up a few extra boxes (like.... maybe another 10.)
Okay, yeah, I'm not happy to be spending $70 on cookies, but they only come by once a year! And maybe once I have my fill, I'll be able to spread them out over the rest of the year (and maybe pocket a few bucks on eBay once the season is officially dead? Nah, they won't last THAT long.)
Maybe part of my desire to buy so many cookies stems from the fact that we actually have Girl Scouts to buy from this year. Part of the joy of living in "the burbs". Seriously, this baby needs to be a girl, so I can have the in-home advantage... And by then, my neighbor's kid won't be a girl scout anymore, so it should all work out perfectly.
And man, my parents NEVER ordered GS cookies growing up.... Even though we'd get multiple girls asking, we just didn't have the money to justify, at most, one or two boxes of them (which were always delivered after school while my parents were working, so they never actually got any, I don't think.) I guess this is my way of showing I'm not my parents. :) Or something.
Okay, time to kick Jeremy outta here before the GS's run outta Tagalongs and Thin Mints....
(Can ya tell I was a bit obsessed when I wrote this??? I've calmed down now. :)
I'm not crazy, right??? Nevermind, don't answer that.... :)
