Epidurals Linked to Breastfeeding Problems

See? Yet another reason to go "AU NATURAL!" :-) It's not very surprising, though, considering that babies are born with a 'sucking' reflex that peaks at usually 30 minutes old. If the baby's drugged up (yes, when you have an epidural, it drugs the baby, too) then the baby's natural ability to suck may become impeded, and create problems down the road.

Of course, if you don't plan on breastfeeding, drug on! :-) Not all women will experience problems, though. Looks like they do, however, want to consider this "an adverse side effect".

Something to think about.
