"It was the cutest thing!"

I've learned that having kids adds a whole new set of words and phrases to your vocabulary. The one I notice most often is, "It was the cutest thing!" This phrase has been used to describe various "milestones" in Jeremiah's life, probably starting with, "He sorta smiled when he was sleeping... It was the cutest thing!" to "Aww, he was gnawing on his sleeve... It was the cutest thing!"

Variations include "It was the cutest thing I've ever seen!" and "That is the cutest!"

Most things Jeremiah does, apparently, is "the cutest". Tonight, I was rocking Jeremiah, and he was sleeping on my shoulder when he started LAUGHING in his sleep! Now, we have a pretty tough time getting him to laugh in general (though it's getting easier!), so for him to be doing it on his own, and in HIS SLEEP, aww, it was just adorable.

Of course, each day brings more and more "cutest" moments. I'm sure it will be "the cutest thing!" when he starts rolling over, crawling, eating solids, etc. It's so fun, though, to wait and see what he'll do next.
