Seriously, I'm a point and shoot kinda gal. I would like to get better at it, but just haven't made the time to devote to it.
Thankfully, the sweet camera I got for Christmas (from my wonderful hubby) makes it easy--point and shoot. It does the rest.
And I must say... I'm impressed. :)
Here are some flowers/trees in our front yard:
This is our neighbor's fence. I thought it looked very "farm-ish" with the flowering bush in front of it. Looks like a nice relaxing place, huh? Yup, it's our front yard!
And in the background there, really is a farm! And between the bush and said far is West Ox Rd, so I'd have to wait for the cars to pass before taking my shot.
Random little purple flowers that grow along the walkway to the house.
This tre normally has leaves.... I don't remember it being flowers. But very pretty right now!
And now, some photos of the kids, which is admittedly more difficult, since lighting is a key factor. However, it is far easier to get the pics to look good outside than in...
My little "flower girl"! We took her pants off because they were white (yes, her diaper is to, but I figure if I can get poop outta her diapers, I can get grass stains, too.) She didn't seem to mind the prickly grass, though she did try to eat it.
Yard sale toys! In their matching jean jackets (Mommy has one, too, so usually if one of us is wearing it, we all do--just so people can say, "Aww, isn't it cute how you all match." Yes. Yes it is. :)
Heh... He's clearly too big for this ride on toy, but he doesn't care. And he'll ride that thing alllllll the way down to the street before you even realize he's gone. Gotta keep an eye on that one...
These were taken on yet another beautiful day, after coming home from church (I think it had been a dreary morning, so we were pleasantly surprised to find the sun out after lunch.) :
I love this... he just looks so grown up and cool. My little man.
Okay, not the best pic, but I thought it was adorable the way she had her hands folded. It's almost like she's thinking, "Yes, I could be playing with toys and bikes, but instead, I choose to sit, pray and focus. Yes, I am a deep thinker." Or something. :)
This is his 'model' shot. Again, so cool and grownup! My little man!!! Mama love....
And my little lady, looking as sweet as can be...
That's all for now. I know, just a bunch of pics, but it's been tough for me to find time to "write!" I can't focus on blogging when the tv is on, and it seems like the only time I actually have to sit with my laptop is during those times (when the tv is on....) Someday....
Oh, and I just thought I'd note that MOST of the pics you see here come from my other cameras, especially my camera phone. While I do love my new camera, it's definitely not what you pull out when the kids are being cute and you need a shot, quick! Plus, it's way too big to stick in my pocket, and requires a bag, so yeah, I only pull it out when I want "nice shots." I'll try to do better, though, as I really do love the quality (the colors are so vibrant!)
