Congratulations to Todd & Paige who, after much prayer, are now pregnant! YAY! I know it's been an uphill struggle, and not the easiest time, but God is good, and He's blessing them with a bundle of joy! YAY!!!! When she told me, I screamed... Literally, I screamed. I think I scared Jeremiah, but he was okay. Best news I've heard in a long time! So congrats again! Looking forward to belly pics, now! :-) (See their blog for sonogram photos)
And just a quick update on Jeremiah's squash experience... I think he likes it okay (still trying to figure that one out), and he's just an impatient eater.... Gave him more today, and he acted the same way, pouting and gettin' all upset.... until more food was in his mouth, that is. So we'll see.
Oh, and Jeremy's going to the Great Dads Seminar at Mclean this weekend. I think it's so great that he's going, and that Mclean puts something like this on... Our society today is not as kind and supportive of Dad's as it should be. It's not an easy job, and many Dads fall short (Lon Soloman shared briefly his own story about his father, how it affected his life, and how he had to make a choice to learn to be the father that God has called him to be... For other dads, though, it's too easy to just "be".... It was really good, every Dad/Dad-to-be/Future Dad should listen to it. You can hear the sermon here [it's called "What kind of Dad will your children remember?] or download it here.) We've all seen examples of what NOT to do as a parent, and this seminar is to help empower Dads with WHAT to do (those examples sometimes harder to find...) So I'm very excited that Jeremy's going! :-) I so proud of him!
And with that, I leave you, as Jeremiah's had enough fun in his jumperoo. Time to go start the day (I know, it's noon, technically my day started at 5 am this morning, but now starts the "outside the house" part of my day. Shopping!!! Woot!)

Thanks for the congrats! You are sooo sweet!!!
ReplyDeleteI would've noticed earlier but I'm behind on my blog reading ;)
