"These legs were made for crawlin'...."
It's official: Jeremiah's mobile. Today, for the first time, he started crawling around.
I had him on our bed while I went to get ready for the day. As soon as I put my phone down, Jeremiah starts charging for it--next thing I knew, he had crossed the bed, and was using it as a teething ring. WOW!
Very cool that he's now moving around! Of course, now we need to worry about such things as baby gates, disposing properly of small objects, and somehow keeping the stupid cat off his blanket so he has a clean place to explore (of course, the blanket's not cool enough for him to stay on, he must go off the blanket, and try to eat wires instead.....)
I think our lives just got a whole lot more complicated!
[Sorry it's a bit dark--it was in the middle of a thunderstorm when we were recording, and my parents don't have many lights in the family room. But you get the gist.]
And here is more of the same darkness, but this time, we get to see Jeremiah attacking his favorite Uncle Stephin. Why he kept trying to eat his head, I dunno, but he really gets into it! At least Stephin didn't mind. :-)

That was so cool! Sort of a combat crawl. Jeremiah's a bit early on this one since most babies start crawling around 7 months. Like his Dad, once he really gets moving there'll be no stopping him!

He's on the "early" side of "normal". Usually it's somewhere between 6 and 9 months, and some never do, but yeah, most don't until at least 7 or 8. I don't remember my brothers really crawling around much as babies, I think they skipped it and went right to walking.
ReplyDeleteHe's so squirmy right now! Every time we hold him on our lap, he's trying to twist and turn, and get down... So much for the "cuddling days". :-( Guess we need to work on #2! :-)
