New Diaper Bag!!!!

Jeremy, being the sweetie that he is, bought me a new diaper bag for my birthday (I know, lame, huh? Used to ask for leather totes from Franklin Covey, or something... now it's Amy Coe and Caden Lane...)

It originally arrived a couple of days after my birthday, and of course, I had to start using it right away (even took it to "Mom's Night Out" last week... now that's a sight--two moms sitting at the bar with their diaper bags.... hey, they now make 'em fashionable and functional! Why not?!) Unfortunately for me (and the bag) I must have tried to carry one too many "kitchen sinks", because the zipper broke the second day. BOOOOO! HIIIIIIIIISSSSSS!

Where did I then turn?? Google. "How do you fix a zipper" was my query, and I did find an answer! After some f'nagling with a needle nose plier, some elbow grease, and a great deal of finesse, it was (nearly) as good as new! Until Mom's night out at least. And then it popped off again.

:(

Luckily for me, my hubby had purchased it from Nordstrom's online, and not some random diaper bag site, so with a quick phone call, and two-day shipping later, I have my bag again, in tip top shape!

And if I break it again, they're gonna have to send me another one. Hey, it's a diaper bag! It's supposed to be full o' stuff, and survive! You don't see my Amy Michelle Azaelea bag (in chocolate!) complaining, and I regularly stuff that one to the brim! Sheesh!

Maybe zippers hate me.... I broke the zipper on my first diaper bag, a snazzy little number from Target (at least, I thought it was snazzy at the time... last time I saw it, my brother was using it as an overnight bag...) THAT, however, was not from over-stuffage. I'm pretty sure that one was just because it was cheap.

THIS bag, however, was not cheap. Reasonable, but not cheap.

To all my preggers friends out there: start thinkin' about diaper bags NOW! Never too early to plan how you're going to haul all your gear around. I love all my bags (I use three total now) so if you like them to, you can copy me--just make sure you buy a different color. :-)

And now..... videos.

Jeremiah tries out his playard for the first time! Yeah, now everytime we put him in it.... he cries. So much for that!

It was fun to watch Jeremiah's reactions. He's obviously very intelligent! You could see the little wheels turning in his head as he was taking in every detail of his new environment. So observant! And processing all the new sights and textures around him. Won't it be fun when he starts to talk and he can express what's going on inside his nifty little mind!
    Love him to bits,
    Charity
