"Deep Thoughts"

I know, it's late, but I didn't want to end the day on a sour note. I'll keep it brief! (For me, at least...)

So I was reading Ted's blog yesterday, and how he wants to start listing three positive things that happened that day. Well, today, after the whole fiasco with the van, and Jeremiah was in a really lousy mood alllllllll daaaaaaaaaaay looooooooooooong, I thought to myself, "How is God going to make this a good day?! What good can come out of having the rear window of our van smashed in?!"

Not one to disappoint, God came through for us. Y'see, Jeremiah's stroller was in the back of the van... It is now covered in glass. Of course, I don't want to use it anymore, no matter how much time we spend getting the glass out of it! Jeremy asked our insurance about it, and they said that they wouldn't be able to cover it, the best they'd be able to do is use it towards our deductible.

Well, after speaking with our agent, they agreed to cover a replacement, no deductible, under our comprehensive coverage! Yay! Now, this is good news, but it's even better because now we get to get the stroller I should have bought in the first place: Phil & Ted's E3 Sport Buggy. It's great because it's an all terrain stroller that reclines to flat for infants, but what makes it so cool is the option to purchase a "back seat", making it a double stroller for toddler/infant or toddler/toddler. So once #2 rolls around, we won't have to purchase another stroller, just the seat. Awesome!

Anyways, I just wanted to share. Oh, and Katharine and I had a Mom's night. It was a lot of fun--I think we both needed a break! Gotta make those a monthly thing... :-)

That's two! Is that enough???

If you've followed my blogging efforts you'll see I've been settling for writing ONE or even ZERO good things that happened. It's still a good idea.

Another way of looking at the Odyssey damage is that at least someone didn't plough into you from behind or something. Jeremy may have told you about the famous incident a month before he made his official entrance onto the planet when our VW Beetle was totalled in a whiteout conditions. In that instance we especially had a lot to be thankful for because Jeremy's mom, who at the time was very, very pregnant with J and B, narrowly missed injury or death. She was about to step in front of our car to cross the road when, from where I stood on the other side, I could barely see a car coming way too fast from the opposite direction in the howling storm and heading straight for where Charity was standing. I shouted at the top of my lungs and Charity paused and stepped back, thinking she "heard something," and the next instant the offending car swooshed two feet in front of her and right into where she'd just been standing--and into our car. (Before I'd shouted at Charity, I had been looking the other way and had just "happened" to turn around in time.) We used to say that angels were on duty that day because otherwise there'd be, today, no Charity, no Jeremy, and no Ben!
