Good day!

Today was a fairly successful day, if I do say so myself.

Jeremy was able to sell his Accord, finally! YAY! Thank you, Jesus! :) We've been trying to sell it for a while, but everyone always low balls us, and then we don't want to sell it to them... They nit pick EVERYTHING, every little scratch, every tire that will need replacing in a couple thousand miles, everything! So annoying. They ignored the fact that Jeremy just replaced the timing belt, and did other maintenance on it that would cost them well over $1000. They ignored the fact that he's been the only owner, and has almost all maintenance receipts. "Oh, the bumper's dinged up, we'll give you $800 below your asking price."

Uhhh... no!

Finally, we found someone who didn't make Jeremy an offer over the phone (never a good sign), and actually appreciated the fact that the timing belt was done, and he was the only owner. He was so happy with the car, he didn't even negotiate--he's paying our asking price! Woot! Of course, we felt the asking price was fair, so we're very happy about that. Major stress factor, GONE!

And the day gets better...

We were going to head out to Warrenton and hang out with my family, but they kinda had a lot going on. Since we were already on the road, I was able to convince Jeremy to take us to Buy Buy Baby so we could get a crib for Jess Jr. We had a 20% off coupon that was going to expire soon, so I was anxious to go.

Got there, and look around a bit. Showed Jeremy my two choices, and tried to get his opinion (silly idea, but I was trying! :) We were just about to say, "Okay, let's get that one," and another crib caught my eye. It didn't have a price on it, and I was curious, so I asked Jeremy to find out how much it was. Turns out, it was on clearance as a three piece set--crib, dresser/changing table, and armoire, for $800 (originally $1800.) Well, that was a little more then we wanted to spend, especially since we really just wanted the crib.

Long story short, we ended up getting all three pieces for $512. It's complicated, but we'd be more than happy to share how it happened if you ask. I'm not going to attempt to explain it here, though :) My Avo would be proud. :) We were able to bring the crib and dresser home, and will go back to pick up the armoire. Hey, considering the only furniture we bought for Jeremiah was our glider, I'd say this was a super deal! Here's a pic.

Only downside to today was the fact that we had to spend so much time at BBB that Jeremy didn't have a chance to mow the lawn. He says he'll do it in the morning... we'll see! :) Now, though, it's time for bed!

No need for three vehicles. A minivan and a SUV is plenty.
