Jeremiah never has "good days" on rainy days... And the rain isn't going to let up anytime soon! :(
This morning, he was really whiny, getting mad at me for not letting him play with the straw in my drink, or the cd's in the Office 2003 case (I was trying to install it this morning...) When he's in that kind of mood, I let him watch a little more TV then I'm normally okay with. Not that he actually watches it... more like watches it, then walks around and finds something to play with, then glance up at it again, then find something else to do, etc. You know he's having a really rough day when he'll actually sit with you and watch it completely still. Yeah, we had a few of those moments today.
I tried giving him his lunch, but he was more interested in his milk, and throwing his sandwich on the floor rather than eating it. All he would actually 'eat' were some crackers that he likes to stuff in his mouth, chew, then spit back out again. Oii...
Okay, fine, naptime, then! He whined through his diaper change, even though he had his bottle, and then whined again when I tried rocking him--he just wanted to go in his crib! So I put his blanket down, and he laid down on it, sooo happy!
Of course, he didn't fall right asleep. Nope, Jeremiah is notorious for pooping when he should be trying to nap. I can hear him "pushing" over the monitor, so I gave him a few minutes to wrap it up, and went to check his diaper. Well, he did NOT want to be bothered. As soon as I stepped in his room, he started whining at me (he was laying down with his eyes open, though they may have been shut before I opened the door...) As I got closer, he scooted away, still laying down, and whined even louder. I got the picture, and left, and now he's sound asleep. I guess he's more interested in sleeping than having a clean diaper (of course, he may not have been dirty, either... his nose is stuffed up, so his breathing can sound more forced at times. Guess we'll find out when he wakes up!)
Hopefully he wakes up on the GOOD side of his crib after his nap. Speaking of naps, don't mind if I do... :)
