In other news, the fancy schmancy cloth diapers I ordered have shipped and should be here... probably way before Jeremy Jr! Not that we'll be using them right away. Not gonna try to wash meconium outta cloth... ewwwww.... But they'll be here whenever he's done with that nastiness.
They're the bumGenius 2.0 One-size diaper! No need to buy different sizes down the road--these'll fit him 'til he's 35lbs! Check 'em out, I think they're pretty cool. And make sure you watch the video--shows ya how easy they are to use.
Our Christmas tree is still up. It's so pretty... I may take it down tomorrow, though, just so the cleanin' crew can vacuum up all the needles and such on Thursday. But it's so pretty...

Speaking of gross cloth diapers, I'm sure we must have told you the story of the diaper delivery guy who every week used to have to carry out our sopping, smelly double portion of dirty (just rinsed in the toilet) diapers in a mesh bag. He'd take them dripping down the stairs from our third floor walk-up apartment to his truck. (I never actually saw this played out, but I've heard Charity describe it enough times that I feel like I did.) The day finally came when the poor young man, on one of his visiits, pulled and pulled and pulled the bag (which was resisting) up out of the large pail that they had provided until there was a mighty sucking sound as the bag came free. The next week someone else had taken his place. I guess he figured he didn't need a job that bad.
