Welcome to 2006

Hello everyone! Everyone being all of 5 people, I'm sure. :-)

Well, we've survived yet another year. Jeremy and I started the year off with an engagement that lasted all of 5 months, got married, moved to Arlington, I quit my job, and I've been home ever since. It's been a blast, though. I've had the opportunity to make our place "our place". It's very cozy now, and we love it. Right now, we're in a transition stage from the Holidays to normal life. The tree is still up (it's such a pretty tree...) the lights still on, the wreath still on our door, but, y'know what, who cares?! It's so pretty. But it is gonna come down soon. Now that we have a brand spanking new vacuum, I've got no excuse to delay it any longer. That'll be the project of the week, I guess. Or I could just leave it up and say I'm starting early for Christmas 2006? Maybe not.

Also new in 2006: New Year's Resolutions! Okay, I have refrained from making these for most of my life, since I hate the fact that I never keep them. But it's a new year, in a new life, so might as well try again. We're just gonna try and live a bit healthier. Meaning, cutting out excess junk food (not that we keep that stuff on hand, but boy is it hard to say no to cookies, brownies, ice cream, cake, etc over other people's houses and when we have people over). We're also cutting down on those "bad carbs" and trying to eat more veggies, nuts, and fish. Jeremy's brother has offered to work out with him on a regular basis, so that'll be good. Now I just need to get remotivated to power up the xbox with Yourself Fitness! and I'll be good to go.

So far, 2006 is looking to be a good year. We've got a lot to look forward to together, and it's been a great 7.5 months of marriage so far (time flies when you're having fun). Looks like we'll hafta cheat a little bit in a few months, as we approach the one year mark, and thaw out that cake from the wedding. Oh well, that'll be a special time worth celebrating (we'll have beaten most hollywood marriages by then!) so that'll be okay.

Alright, 'til next time, we remain,

J2
