It's hard to get mad at a 9 month old...

....but not impossible.

Especially when said 9 month old is refusing to sit in his high chair, even though it's lunch time... Then, as if in utter defiance, this 9 month old decides to grab hold of the nearest thing, which happens to be a plate and coffee mug from breakfast (complete with crumbs and leftover chai tea...) Where does it end up??? On the floor, of course (so much for that mug... Glad it wasn't a favorite.)

Mom, at this point, decides she needs a minute before dealing with such a mess. So Mom retires, briefly, to the powder room. Upon returning to the kitchen, Mom finds this 9 month old looking over the back of his high chair, about to climb out! Now, Mom has to deal with getting him back in a seated position, and then strapped in (that is why there are straps on the high chair, I'm pretty sure...) Of course, 9 month olds don't like being forced to do ANYTHING, so now this 9 month old is crying...

Oi vey...

Mom gives said 9 month old some puffs to snack on while Mom prepares his lunch. Of course, he's pissed off, so he just sweeps them right off his tray and onto the floor (which Mom had just finished cleaning up from the first mess...)

Grumble grumble....

Thankfully, this 9 month old is now soundly asleep, and Mom is taking a "chill pill".

It's hard to get mad at a 9 month old, but not impossible. :-)
