Yup, definitely not feeling like summer anymore. It's been a bit rainy for the past couple of days, with temperatures in the 60's mostly, and it looks like the forecast will remain unchanged through part of the weekend. Although, if it's going to rain, it should RAIN, as in thunderstorms, and sheets of water falling! Instead, we've had a constant mist and light sprinkling... That's about it.
Now, I like rainy days, s'long as I don't have to venture out too much. Yesterday, we went to the grocery store, and Jeremiah was amazed by the umbrella. He thought it was the coolest thing, and kept trying to hold it. So cute.
Unfortunately, my little man has a bit of a cold, so our time outdoors has been limited. We were supposed to get together with some gals from the Mom's class I took at Mclean last fall, but I decided it was probably best for us to stay indoors, and make some soup. Mmm.... soup.....
That's one good thing about rainy days: good excuse to cook comfort food! Of course, soup was on the menu for today's dinner, anyways, but it's much more fun to make soup on a rainy, cool day than a sunny, hot day. Now I get to relax with a nice warm mug o' tea, and just....
....get Jeremiah up from his nap, because he's decided it's over now. :-( Well, I'll just have to drink my tea whilst keeping an eye on him.
Oh man... bread... I should make some bread... Hmmm..... Can't ya smell it already????? :-)

I agree, bring on the sheets of rain and storms. The mist is no fun, but we do need the precipitation even if it is mist. Hope Jeremiah feels better soon! Enjoy your comfort foods!
