I must say, though, I was a bit nervous when we stopped by a neighbor's house, and they said they went through $50 worth of candy last year. If this year was anything like last year, they must have paid more than a dollar a piece, because we didn't get more than 20-30 kids. That's it! I know it's still a little early, but no one's knocked on the door in an hour....
Oh, and of those 20-30 T.O.T.-ers, at least half were teens, one adult, and one baby with NO costume on. It's one thing to take your baby trick or treating WITH a costume, but c'mon.... At least appear to be trying!
Had I known how few actual kids were coming our way, I would have loaded them up with handfuls of candy.... But by the time we decided to start giving out extras (my parents always run out, so I was being conservative...) the kiddies stopped coming.
Jeremiah had a great time, though. It started out kinda rough--at the neighbor's, he was crawling around, and their big ole dog barked. Jeremiah started screaming! So they gave him a tootsie pop, and boy did he love that! He sucked on that sucker all night, and had we been keeping count, he could have definitely told us how many licks it took to get to the center of a tootsie pop. Thankfully, his sugar high didn't last very long, and he crashed without putting up a fight.
