"I'm a lion! Rrrrroar!"

Jeremiah 'decided' he wanted to be a lion for Halloween.... Of course, I can't really think of a good reason to buy a baby a costume, except for the cuteness factor. I mean, I just don't understand why parents would take their baby 'trick or treating'. I can see showing the baby off, especially when they've got older kids--that makes sense. What doesn't make sense is when baby is the only child, and Mom and Dad are holding out a bucket to fill. I cringe when I see perfect strangers walking up with their baby, and that's it. No siblings, just a baby and a sack.
[Word to the wise: if I don't know you, don't bring you baby by my house without an older brother or sister! May have to pull the whole athiest move, "We don't celebrate holidays," and slam the door. {There was a house in our neighborhood that did that, growing up... Needless to say, they got egged and TP'd a lot....}]

It's one thing to take 'em to people you know (like Grandma's.... we may go 'trick or treating' there, since Grandma always has a treat for her sweet, if ya know what I mean!) But parading your infant around to houses with people you don't know, and then asking for their candy, when there are lots of little kiddies out there waiting to collect (my Mom always runs out of candy, and has to turn kiddies away.... this is also due to the teens and college students, of course, but I digress...)

I mean, at least wait 'til the kid can walk on his own.... Gotta burn those calories some way, right? :-)
